Increase in public health measures at international ports of entry following the WHO declaration of PHEIC for mpox outbreak

Egyptian authorities have announced increased preparedness for applying public health measures at international ports of entry. These include all seaports, airports and land crossings and is in response to the World Health Organisation announcing that the current mpox outbreak is a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). It is currently not specified which measures will be in place and may include screening of travellers health on arrival in Egypt.
