International SOS Guide to COVID-19 Workplace Testing

20 November, 2020

There are many different types of tests for COVID-19. The number of tests available is growing, and many more are in development. The information is constantly changing. COVID-19 tests are generally considered medical devices, and are highly regulated - require authorization for importation and use, purchase and prescription is restricted to licensed groups, results must be reported to relevant authorities, and procedures for management of people depending on the test result must be followed. International SOS has produced a briefing for Pandemic Information Service members, to provide an overview of the types of tests available, the practical differences, limitations, and how they may potentially be considered by organisations to try to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the workplace. The document can be downloaded from the Manager Advice page of this website (locked to Pandemic Information Service members)
