12 August: The country has been moved to Outbreak category. It has reported over 1000 cases.
6 August: Cases continue to be reported. The government has announced another state of public emergency as of last midnight for 21 days. This included curfew from 10 pm to 5 am and prohibiting gatherings at places of worship. Educational institutions, non-food outlets, markets, and land, sea and air borders will be closed.
28 July: Over 250 new cases were reported in the last 12 days. Due to increase in cases, Gambia has moved out of Limited Activity category.
16 July: Gambia has moved into Limited Activity category reporting a minimal number of new cases per day (sporadic or small clusters).
11 July: Within the last 20 days, there has been over a 50% increase in the number of COVID-19 cases reported by the country. To date there have been 64 COVID-19 cases registered and three dearhs.
2 July: At least 27 patients have recovered. About 65% confirmed cases are males and a similar percentage of patients are below 40 years of age.
12 May: A few additional cases have been confirmed.
14 April: Eight new cases have been reported in Gambia, including the first death.
