COVID-19 in Eritrea

Eritrea // 23 July, 2020

At least 250 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.

23 July: Low case numbers have been reported. Eritrea has moved into Limited Activity category reporting a minimal number of new cases per day (sporadic or small clusters).

16 July: With fewer cases continuing to be reported, the country has moved into the “decreasing activity” category. A total of 232 cases have been confirmed. There have been no deaths reported, and 107 people have recovered to date.

2 July: Total case count has crossed 200 mark.

9 June: Two new cases have been recorded after a gap of almost 44 days. The cases were confirmed after a random community testing. No deaths have been reported so far.

12 May: No new cases have been confirmed in the last three weeks. Media sources state that majority of the patients have recovered.

7 April: Over 20 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of cases to 29.
