COVID-19 in Algeria, September

Status: Decreasing Activity

22 September: Algeria continues to report a declining trend in cases. The total number of cases is 50,023 with 1,679 deaths. Out of 48 wilayas, 27 have not reported any new cases up to 19 September. El-Bayadh reported no new cases for at least 32 consecutive days. The most affected regions with over 3,000 confirmed cases include Algiers, Blida, Oran and Sétif.

15 September: Over 2,000 new cases were reported in the last week, resulting in a total of 48,496 cases.

7 September: At least 293 new cases and 27 deaths have been reported, bringing the total to over 46,000 cases.

2 September: At least 339 new cases and eight deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. The number of new cases have been on a downward trend. Algeria has moved out of Outbreak category and is now in Decreasing Activity.
