COVID-19 in Algeria, July

At least 27,357 cases of COVID-19 and 1,155 deaths have been confirmed. For more information, see the Ministry of Health COVID-19 page.

27 July: 593 new cases and nine deaths have been reported. Partial lockdown measures have been implemented in 29 provinces for 15 days to control the spread of COVID-19. Restrictions include curfew from 8pm to 5am, and road traffic to and from the 29 provinces will be prohibited.

17 July: Additional cases reported taking the total of 20,216 cases with 1,028 deaths.

13 July: At least 470 new cases and 8 new deaths reported. Total death toll has passed 1,000.

9 July: About 469 new cases and 10 deaths have been reported. Hospitals in Algeria are overwhelmed with increase in cases with shortages of bed and appropriate medical equipment.

6 July: Another 441 new cases and six deaths have been confirmed.

2 July: At least 336 new cases and seven deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
