The World Health Organization (WHO) added Regeneron to its list of COVID-19 theraputics. The antibody drug cocktail is made with casirivimab and imdevimab. It can reduce the risk of hospitalisation and death among very high-risk patients who are moderately sick, and it is the and it is the first time the WHO has recommended a product for therapeutic treatment of people with moderate infections. Regeneron was approved for emergency use in the United States nearly a year ago, and has similar approval in the United Kingdom. Negotiations regarding lowering the drug's price, and possible donations, are underway to achieve more equitable distribution worldwide.
