25 May: Individuals ages 35 and over are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination in Lithuania, along with those in certain occupations (or who need to travel), which puts them at risk for COVID-19 and those with underlying health conditions, regardless of age. People ages 16-34 are expected to be eligible for vaccine on 31 May.
The vaccines currently being used in Lithuania are AstraZeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. On 24 May, Lithuania received 101,790 doses of Pfizer. Additionally, on 21 May, 18,000 doses of Moderna, 16,800 doses of AstraZeneca, and 4,800 doses of Johnson & Johnson arrived in the country. The new consignments will be distributed to the municipalities on the same day. Vaccines are distributed according to the number of unvaccinated population and the rate of vaccination, and more vaccines are given to those municipalities with the highest incidence of COVID-19.
Pharmacies in Lithuania are preparing to vaccinate the population against COVID-19. In order to start vaccinating, pharmacies need to obtain the appropriate license along with organizing vaccines and vaccine measures with municipalities. Vaccination pharmacies will join the common registration system, which is available on the website www.koronastop.lt. Those who do not have the ability to register online can do so by calling the 1808 Hotline.
14 March: Authorities have suspended the use of AstraZeneca vaccine batch ABV5300 as a precautionary measure while a full investigation is ongoing, this follows reports of blood clots in some patients after vaccination.

28 December: Lithuania received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on 26 December and started vaccination on the 27th. According to a press release (in Lituanian), vaccination of health workers began at simultaneously at Vilnius, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys hospitals. Over 2,200 medical staffs were vaccinated across 26 vaccination points on the first day. All doctors in the country are likely to be vaccinated by the first quarter of 2021.
The country has signed agreements with six vaccine manufacturers and intends to purchase over 7 million COVID-19 vaccine doses to cover at least 70% of the country's population.
