An increase in flu activity continues in the united States according to the latest Fluview report . Hospitalisations and clinic visits have increased compared to last week. At least 26 states recorded high influenza-like illness with 49 states reporting widespread flu activity. More than 80 percent of detections were positive for influenza A virus. The most common subtype was H3N2. Among influenza B, Yamagata subtype was common.
