Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine appears to be effective against the B.1.1.7 variant of SARS-CoV-2 that emerged in the United Kingdom. According to a study (not yet peer reviewed), there was no difference in neutralisation activities between the variant and the original strain, and that it is "unlikely that the B.1.1.7 lineage will escape" protection mediated by the vaccine.
