14 February: Authorities advise that no cause for the cases of pneumonia has been identified; Legionella infection has not been detected. No further cases have been reported and the hospital where cases occurred has been allowed to resume activities.

1 February: News sources are reporting that one of the healthcare workers has died. No cause has been identified so far. It appears that there are no further cases at this time. The healthcare institution involved has apparently been given recommendations on improving water management to reduce the risk of Legionella.

26 January: Authorities advise that there are no further cases identified at this stage. Contacts of the patients remain well. Although no cause has been confirmed so far, the patients are being treated for possible Legionella.

25 January: At least five cases of severe pneumonia of unknown cause in Tucuman have been reported. The cases have been identified in health workers from a private hospital. COVID-19, influenza and hantavirus have been ruled out as possible causes and further test results are expected in the coming days.

In September 2022, an outbreak of legionella in a private hospital in Tucuman affected 22 people, six of whom died. The cause of this outbreak was initially unknown.
