Novel influenza A H1N2 variant

Health authorities have confirmed a case of human infection with a novel influenza A H1N2 variant (H1N2v) in Cotes-d'Armor.

The patient had a history of exposure to live pigs prior to developing symptoms. He is stable and no other cases have been detected. This is the first influenza A(H1N2)v case of human infection in the country.
