New LPAI H7N9 outbreak in poultry

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has been notified of a low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) H7N9 outbreak on a poultry farm in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. In efforts to control and eradicate the disease, around 47,000 chickens have been culled and movement control measures are in place within a 1km radius. There are no other poultry farms reported to be in the area.
