The Ministry of Justice has mandated that individuals "who do not have medical contraindications, who are permanently on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan", are required to receive vaccination against COVID-19. The Ministry of Justice issued this decision on 8 July 2021, and stated that compulsory vaccinations allow the government to remain consistent with the constitutional provision that “the state aims to protect the environment, favorable for human life and health.” The compulsory vaccinations will go into effect relatively soon. The Ministry of Justice has stated that they will communicate more information in the coming weeks regarding mandatory vaccines for all eligible citizens within the country.
