The Ministry of Health, in partnership with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and airport and port administrators, has begun posting mpox health alerts at major airports and ports in Brazil. These alerts provide information on mpox symptoms and guidelines for those who may develop symptoms.
Brazil continues to report mpox infections with clade II, with over 1,400 cases detected in 2024. Clade I has not been identified in Brazil.
