An increase in respiratory infections has been reported among children in the southern provinces and cities of Vietnam, according to media sources. Although hospitals in the area have been prepping for an increase in pediatric hospitalisations, the number of severe illnesses has been stable.
In Vietnam, a rise in respiratory illnesses is common towards the end of the year. Health authorities recommend usual precautions, including maintaining hygiene and staying home if symptoms develop.
