H7N9 in poultry

Hong Kong (China SAR) // 05 June, 2016

Routine testing for bird flu has found H7N9 in droppings from live poultry in the Yan Oi Market in Tuen Mun. The market has been closed for disinfection. Authorities have temporarily suspended all live poultry trading, including local and imported poultry, while they are investigating the source of the affected birds. Three human cases of H7N9 have been documented in Hong Kong this year, however all were 'imported' cases, infected in mainland China.
