The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has released a report that outlines challenges faced by countries in the European Union and the United Kingdom regarding the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.
Out of 28 countries, 26 have reported challenges related to the limited supply of vaccines, as well as frequent and unpredictable changes in delivery times, which affect rollout efficiency. Six countries reported challenges with shortage of staff to administer the vaccine, ten reported shortage of necessary equipment for vaccination, and seven reported challenges in reaching certain populations, particularly those who have difficulties leaving their homes.
