COVID-19 in Slovenia - Cases surge

Status: Increasing Activity

29 July: Shortly after the state of emergency was declared over, cases began to rise again, likely due to the spread of the Delta variant. This activity continued, moving the country into Increasing activity in late-July. 

15 June: Slovenia has declared the end of its state of emergency after eight months, with most restrictions being lifted. Masks must still be worn when in public indoors, and social distancing must be maintained. Cultural and sports events can reopen at 75% capacity for those who have been vaccinated, tested negative for COVID-19 or fully recovered from a past COVID-19 infection.

7 January: High activity continues in the country. Total cases are at 131,724 of which 107,103 have recovered, 21,722 are active and 2,899 have died.
