COVID-19 found in a pet dog

A household pet dog was found infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Apulia, Southern Italy. She lives with four humans who had symptoms of the virus, one of whom had a test and was positive. The dog had no symptoms. Dogs have been found infected before in Hong Kong, the USA, Japan, and Canada. So far all appear to have been infected by their owners and there are no known cases of dogs spreading the virus to humans or other dogs.
