6 February: The ongoing Ebola outbreak in Uganda has been updated to a Level 2 travel health notice by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), advising travellers to practice enhanced precautions. Travellers should continue to avoid contact with sick people, blood and other body fluids, dead bodies, bats, forest antelopes, and non-human primates. Monitor for symptoms of the disease while in the outbreak area and for 21 days after leaving. If symptoms develop, individuals should isolate immediately, avoid travel and contact local health authorities or a healthcare facility for advice.
