Argentina and Mexico to produce and bottle AstraZeneca Vaccines

In the latest weekly report for Latin America and the Caribbean [PDF], the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reports on locally made AstraZeneca vaccines. In August 2020, a deal for 150 million doses made in Argentina and bottles in Mexico was made. Around 800,000 doses will be used in both Argentina and Mexico, while the remaining doses will be sent to other Latin American countries once AstraZeneca provides authorisation.
