Unidentified disease in DR Congo prompts checks at airports and ports

Italian health authorities have implemented strict control measures at entry points, particularly airports, to detect potential cases of an unidentified disease from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) according to media sources.

A ministry directive instructs the Offices of Maritime, Air, and Border Health (USMAF) to increase vigilance against this new threat. Experts confirmed that the situation in the country is not alarming at present.
