Mpox has not been detected in Kazakhstan.
H5N1 was first detected in August 2005 in the Pavlodar region. Since then, outbreaks have been sporadically reported in wild birds and poultry.
H5N8 was first confirmed in January 2017 in wild birds.
No human cases of bird flu have been reported in Kazakhstan.
The first case of COVID-19 was identified in mid-March 2020.
