In a study published in Science Direct, Health -Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) was evaluated in survivors of severe COVID-19 infection at 3 months. A second study (currently a preprint) compared 58 COVID-19 patients, post-hospital discharge, with 30 matched controls (with similar comorbidities) . Similar results were discovered in another preprint study looking at long-term neurologic outcomes, also referred as the “Long-Haul COVID” 3 moths after COVID-19
A study, published in Nature Communications, aimed to clarify the transmission route, clinical features and outcomes of neonatal (newborns under 28 days old) COVID-19 infections.
The study, conducted by the Department of Defense in partnership with United Airlines , onboard a Boeing 777 and 767 aircraft showed that masks helped minimize exposure to infection when someone coughed including those seated close by.
